...and more decisions

Two more combinations:
1)2)At first I really liked the first one, with the darker colors. But then I asked DH, and he voted for the second. And the more I look at it, the more it is growing on me. I especially like the weathered white-wash style of the frame -- that is more in line with how I was envisioning it. I know I said I didn't want the piece to look too "babyish," but it IS a baby sampler, after all....

Hmmm. I hate deciding!! (I DO know that I like either of these frame mouldings more than the first one I posted yesterday, at least, regardless of the matting.)

Hmm... I like the first frame better. Not to say the second is bad. What it comes down to in my opinion is how bold do you want the piece to be when it's hanging on the wall? The first choice is more eye catching, the second is more restful IMHO. Both are very nice.

I like the second one best. Not that I don't like the first but I think it makes it look like too much green and they're too close together if that makes sense.

I like the pink & green matting, but I like the second frame better.

From a lurker... =)

Both options are nice for exactly the reasons that you and Missy Ann have listed, but I think if you went with #2 you should put a third green mat in the middle of the two pinks. As it is right now the greens in the piece completely overwhelm the soft pinks and the hill becomes the dominant focus, not the rest. A sliver of a green mat showing would balance it out. Then I'd go with Option #2. =)

I like the frame of the second option but I like the green matting better.

Guess I'm not much help.

I like the pink and green matting of the first and it really makes things stand out. Option 2 is softer...also nice but soft. I like Wendy's idea though to add a third mat for a touch of green.

I like the first one better. There's creamy golds throughout your piece like the frame. The bottom frame looks white...your fabric is cream color, in my opinion that doesn't go together. The green mats bring out the greens in the pieces. #1 seems to have the same over all tones of color. The second seems to be a little too bright compared to your piece. The could just be due to the difference in the picture and monitor etc.

I like the first one better. The combo just makes the whole piece stand out. The second is nice, but too pale and muted for me. I like mine to stand out.

I prefer the first combo but the second is very pretty as well. I agree that putting a light green mat between the two pink mats in the second choice would help to tie everything together well.

I like the first set very much!

I like the first one, but maybe try it with the lighter frame? I think the green/pink contrast makes the sampler pop more.

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
