I've fallen and I can't get up to blog!!

I'm sorry for my extended absence around here. Life has been hectic! We closed on our house the day before Thanksgiving, and since then have been trying to find a contractor to do some painting and other minor work before we move in. We have until the end of December technically, but I did tell our landlord we would try to be out of the apartment by Christmas. So the I'm feeling a bit of a time crunch!

I'm also really feeling this baby....I've got about 3 months to go, and she is still breech and using my bladder as a trampoline. (Meanwhile, my ribs are the equivalent of a heavy bag, and she enjoys thumping on them frequently, too.) It makes packing difficult, but I have to keep going. All my craft supplies are packed and moved, as are most of my clothes - since they don't fit anyway - and all the decorative knicky-knacky things. In two weeks we're hoping to call a moving crew to help with the furniture and other heavy stuff, and then we'll be done! I'm just so impatient.....

Also, I wanted to thank Jolene -- I received the BBD pattern and floss you sent in the mail about a week ago, but never got around to posting!! Thank you so much. I've said it before and I'll say it again, online stitchers are wonderful folks.

I did keep out my Heartstrings Santa to work on during the moving process, but I haven't really don't much with it.....packing and napping seem to be preferable to stiching lately. Hopefully I'll have a month or 2 to get some serious stitching in after Christmas, since I'm sure my life and schedule will look VERY different after the baby arrives (in March)!!

Thank you all for checking in on me.....

I am so glad your package arrived. Your story sounds alot like mine. The year was 1994 and we were living in an apartment and I was pregnant. We signed papers and closed on our house Nov. 15th (my mother's birthday) and I was 5 months pregnant with my first (and only) child. Kind of ironic don't ya think.....Anyway my son was born March 11th. Wouldn't it be funny if your baby was born on the same day?

Although I've never been on your blog before I say, welcome back. The things you make are lovely and I love your writing style.

Have a happy time in your new home.

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
