Vacation progress

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my folks and my younger sister. It was lovely. My French toast breakfast casserole was delish, and the framed needlework made Mom cry. Dad enjoyed his cans of figs (hey, Mom said to get those for him!), and Sis and I had agreed not to exchange this year. Mom and Dad gave all of us kids a very generous cash gift, plus a few small things. And heck, I really NEEDED the new sports bra Mom got for me! LOL

Stitching-wise, I'm still working along on Judith's RR. I finished my first square (January), and I've started on the second (April). Also, I gave myself a "Christmas present" start...I've been looking forward to stitching Little House Needlework's "Moon and Stars" pattern ever since I picked it up a few months ago at the LNS. And wouldn't you know, the pattern and supplies fit perfectly in the pretty zippered bag Mom sent me for my birthday! hehehe So it was a lovely travel project. Here is my progress, just from Christmas Eve/Day and a bit over the weekend.I picked up 2 of the Crescent Colors called for - the green and the brown shades - and am substituting from my stash for the rest. I can't remember them all off-hand, but I know the blue is "Bluebells" by The Dye is Cast. So pretty!

Starting something new is such a delight, isn't it. I love your new project and the blue fabric you stitch it on.
